LINCOLN — The assistant coach who oversees Nebraska’s offensive strategy hasn’t been too concerned about the Huskers’ recent scoring slump.
NU players combined to record a .240 batting average during Nebraska’s recent five-game winning streak, unable to produce an extra-base hit and at times unable even to make solid contact consistently. There were plenty of popups and shallow flyouts. A bit too many rolled over groundballs and strikeouts, too.
