IOWA CITY — Nebraska gave up the lead twice and then couldn’t complete the comeback in the ninth inning of a 6-5 loss at Iowa, missing a chance to move into a tie for first in the Big Ten.
The Hawkeyes (11-15, 2-7 Big Ten), who had lost six straight league games, used four two-out singles to tie Sunday’s contest at 2-2 in the third and capitalized on three Husker errors in the fifth to go ahead 4-3.
