LINCOLN — For two months last season, the Miami football program was back in its 30-year comfort zone, smack in the national title hunt after starting 7-0.
The Hurricanes had a top-10 ranking and a prime-time slot against their fiercest rival, Florida State, to continue their climb back from the mediocrity that dogged the program for a decade.
