AUSTIN, Texas — Nebraska 400-meter hurdlers Miles Ukaoma and Jodi-Rae Blackwood were among the Huskers who qualified Friday for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., June 5-8.
At the NCAA preliminary round, Ukaoma won his quarterfinal heat of the 400 hurdles in 49.95 seconds. Blackwood (50.16) finished fourth in the same heat, good enough for the 10th fastest overall time. Teammate Tibor Koroknai (51.15) finished sixth in his heat and 15th overall. Only the top 12 qualified for the championships in Eugene.
