LINCOLN — Christian Sanderfer’s Halloween trick turned out to be some unexpected treat for the Nebraska track and field team.
Sanderfer is a sophomore pole vaulter by trade, and a pretty good one — he finished eighth at the Big Ten indoor championships last year. But it was his side project — and how coaches discovered it — that’s become lore.
