EAST LANSING, Mich. — Senior Michael Pritchard broke a 1-1 tie with a two-run home run in the sixth inning and Nebraska withstood a couple late scoring threats by Michigan State to earn a 4-1 win Sunday afternoon.

The Huskers (34-17, 15-5 Big Ten) held on to their two-run lead when they escaped the seventh inning without allowing a run, though the Spartans (26-22, 8-12) had runners on the corners with no one out. Third baseman Jake Placzek knocked down a hard-hit grounder and recovered in time to catch junior Jimmy Pickens in a rundown between third base and home plate.
