In a series of drills and looks against the top two defenses Monday, Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong, Jr. may have had his strongest practice yet. Composed and accurate, Armstrong didn't force passes, took the options given to him -- even if some of those passes were dropped by receivers -- and hit senior wideout Jamal Turner with a laser of a throw for what would have been a touchdown.

His performance Monday -- and over the last week -- earned praise from offensive coordinator Tim Beck.
