The Omaha Symphony truly has concocted a successful recipe for an evergreen “Christmas Spectacular”: equal parts tradition and freshness, with a dash of the unpredictable.
The symphony's 2013 holiday brew promises to enchant Holland Performing Arts Center audiences all weekend, even though it'll lack the special opening-night spice — an unscripted marriage proposal — that enhanced the Christmas cheer at Thursday night's debut.
