Hollywood's renewed interest in biblical epics spurring controversy

OK, so Darren Aronofsky's Noah's ark movie, however unnecessary, looks like just about the most gargantuan CG-infused movie spectacle of the last few years.
It appears that Aronofsky, the director of such films as "Black Swan," "Requiem for a Dream" and (let us not forget) "The Fountain," is slapping a fresh layer of grime and beard on the Biblical story.
