“Momentum” has always been one of my favorite Ballet Nebraska performances of the season. It’s the company’s annual ballet showcase, one that demonstrates not only how stylistically varied ballet can be, but also just what Ballet Nebraska can bring to the local performing arts community.

Friday night’s performance at the Joslyn Art Museum was a particularly rich and stylized showcase, one that drew on Greek mythology, Imperial Russia and the African plains as well as several other inspirations, all of which made for a quick-paced evening of fine dance.
