Pastry chef Tina Tweedy, who works at Vivace and M’s Pub in the Old Market, is introducing a special line of desserts at Vivace this summer.

The series of frozen desserts is called “The Coupes,” and is modeled after the French tradition of serving individual cups of ice cream in a glass dish. Coupes, French for “cup,” are listed on a separate menu, often with illustrations. The desserts usually are named for a particular country and many are based on old recipes. Coupes can be elaborately decorated.
