Against a Kansas State offense hitting .303 with an on-base percentage of .407, Creighton coach Ed Servais didn't want to see his pitching staff exhibit generosity.
The Wildcats received lots of free bases anyway as six Bluejay pitchers combined to allow eight walks, and Kansas State pounded out 11 hits in handing Creighton an 8-5 loss in front of a season-high crowd of 5,310 fans at TD Ameritrade Park.
