Bluejays guard Zierden avoids knee surgery

Creighton guard Isaiah Zierden will not have to undergo surgery to repair damage done when he dislocated his right kneecap in a March 1 game.

Zierden injured the knee in a loss at Xavier and missed Creighton’s final seven games. The redshirt freshman has been rehabbing the knee and, after numerous examinations, it was determined surgery would not be required.
