In a match that was statistically even in all but one area, No. 9 Nebraska found its mettle from the service line to defeat Creighton 21-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-20 Wednesday night at the Devaney Center.

No. 9 Nebraska and Creighton renew their in-state series Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Devaney Center in what will be the largest collection of Nebraska natives on a Division I college volleyball court this year.


Creighton’s Lauren Smith heads home to face Huskers

Lauren Smith is more accustomed to going to the Devaney Center for swim meets than volleyball matches. The Creighton middle blocker was a multi-sport athlete for Lincoln Pius X and qualified for the state swimming and diving championships all four years.
