After opening the season with seven consecutive victories, Creighton was less than two minutes from entering Big East play this week on the heels of back-to-back losses.


Overtime score stuns third-ranked Jays

Creighton’s defense stood up to every challenge it faced for the first 93 minutes and 53 seconds of Saturday’s match against Saint Louis. Then, in a blink-of-an-eye letdown, the Bluejays were losers for the first time this season. Robert Kristo scored on a shot from about 10 yards, and the No. 20 Billikens were celebrating a 1-0 victory over No. 3 Creighton.
