After he was shot once in each leg by an acquaintance, a 32-year-old man dragged himself from a detached garage to the back porch of a South Omaha house early Tuesday, leaving a trail of blood.
Mike Marquez was conscious after he was shot and is expected to survive, Omaha police said. He was taken to Creighton University Medical Center in critical condition.
Marquez was shot about 12:15 a.m. near the garage at 22nd and S Streets, police said.
Police know the name of the suspect, a man, and have a description of his vehicle, a gold Dodge Ram. They were looking for him early Tuesday.
The call began as a noise complaint at 5238 S. 22nd St. that involved the victim and suspect. Police said an argument had broken out between the two.
Police said their investigation into the shooting is continuing.
