The group will be serving free cinnamon rolls from its kitchen on wheels.
Nebraska Wheat and its mobile baking lab will be a new addition to the annual Triumph of Ag Expo this year at the CenturyLink Center Omaha.
The 48th annual farm and ranch machinery show will be held March 12 and 13. Admission is free.
The Nebraska Wheat Growers Association and the Nebraska Wheat Board, collectively known as Nebraska Wheat, will be baking and serving free cinnamon rolls for show visitors.
The mobile baking lab is a complete kitchen housed inside a 24-foot trailer.
Nebraska Wheat will be promoting the benefits of using wheat in a rotation with corn and soybeans, and explaining why wheat nutrition and education should matter to farmers.
In addition to machinery exhibits, the expo will feature new products and services on display at more than 1,000 booths. Daily seminars will explore such topics as weather expectations in 2014, estate planning for farmers and ranchers, wind energy and biotechnology in agriculture.
Bob Mancuso Sr., the show’s producer, says the Triumph of Ag Expo “offers a one-stop opportunity” for farmers, ranchers and stockmen to meet with leading farm manufacturers and suppliers, all under one roof. They can see and compare everything from the newest farm machinery to day-to-day supplies and products.
On the opening day of the show, the National Agri-Marketing Association Cornhusker Chapter, Omaha Agri-Business Club and Ag Council of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon. Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey will be honored.
The cost is $20; reservations are due by March 7. Find details at showofficeonline.com/TRIOFAGSTARTPAGE.htm.
