Douglas County tornado sirens will sound Feb. 22 as a part of a test of the emergency warning system.
The county’s Emergency Management Agency said the sirens will sound that day at 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and possibly again at 11 a.m.
Routine monthly testing of the sirens will be at 11 a.m. on the first Wednesday of the month from March through October. The first such test will be March 5.
A special siren test will take place at 10 a.m. March 26 as part of the National Weather Service’s Severe Weather Awareness Week.
The tests may be postponed because of inclement weather.
