An Omaha teenager tried to run over a pregnant woman with whom she was fighting Tuesday, and ended up striking a tree instead, according to Omaha police.
The victim was unharmed, police said, but taken to Creighton University Medical Center as a precaution.
Officers were called to 4131 N. 40th St. about 4:15 p.m. to investigate a disturbance. They determined that an 18-year-old girl and 20-year-old mom-to-be had an argument.
The teenager got into a stolen vehicle and drove it toward the pregnant woman, striking a tree in the process, police said.
The 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted felony assault, destruction of property and theft by receiving.
