LINCOLN — Four Huskers won individual titles as the Nebraska track and field team kicked off its indoor season Friday at the Holiday Inn Invitational at Devaney Center.
Veronica Grizzle threw 61-2 ľ to win the women’s weight throw, while teammate Tristen Sharp (56-6 ĺ) finished second.
Reigning Big Ten indoor long jump champion Patrick Raedler leaped 24-10 Ĺ to win the first meet of his senior season.
Shawnice Williams won the women’s 800 in 2:13.03, while Lincoln senior Trevor Vidlak won the men’s mile in 4:09.39.
The invitational continues Saturday with field events beginning at 11 a.m. and running events at noon.
