The Iowa High School Athletic Association released its district boys basketball assignments for Class 1-A and 2-A on Monday.
In 2-A, all 11 teams in The World-Herald’s western Iowa coverage area will compete among the 13 in Substate 8.
In 1-A, the 31 western Iowa schools are spread across three of the eight substates. Bedford and Lenox are the lone WI schools in Substate 6, with the remaining 29 in Substates 7 and 8.
The pairings in 1-A and 2-A will be released during the week of Feb. 3. The 3-A and 4-A assignments will be released on Jan. 20, with the large-school pairings set to be released during the week of Feb. 10.
Here are the 1-A and 2-A assignments in substates involving western Iowa schools:
