A commons area in the University of Nebraska at Omaha's college of business administration was dedicated this week to Omaha developer Ted Seldin.
Ted M. Seldin Commons is inside of Mammel Hall in recognition of Seldin's support of UNO's Real Estate and Asset Management Program, according to the University of Nebraska Foundation. Seldin is chairman of the Omaha-based Seldin Co., the firm his father started in the 1920s.
The dedication followed a recent gift, and promised estate gift, from Seldin to the University of Nebraska Foundation. The foundation didn't disclose the amount.
“Ted Seldin's generosity is assisting us in elevating an already strong real estate program,” said Louis Pol, dean of the UNO College of Business Administration, in a press release. “Our students are the beneficiaries here.”
