Wounded warrior Kyle Foster of Omaha received a gift of thanks on Veterans Day. Several groups joined in giving him a mortgage-free house in Omaha. Foster and his wife, Brittney, and her daughter, Zoey, attended the presentation at halftime of a Creighton University basketball game. In partnership with Military Warriors Support Foundation, Heartland Chevy Dealers presented the newly renovated house provided by Chase Bank. Foster said he had wanted to change his life and serve his country when he joined the Army in 2010 in Bellevue. While in Afghanistan in May 2011 he suffered combat-related injuries, including a shattered left heel, broken left ankle, cracked left tibia and fibula, broken right elbow, traumatic brain injury and PTSD. In February, Foster received a medical/honorable discharge. He is in school to become a personal trainer.
