A 29-year-old Omaha man died Wednesday in a three-vehicle crash near 168th and Blondo Streets.
Zachery R. Shedd was pronounced dead at Creighton University Medical Center. Shedd was not wearing a seat belt, said traffic Sgt. Joe Collins.
The crash occurred just before 10 a.m.
A 2010 Mazda 3 driven by Shedd collided with a 2006 Ford Econoline van driven by James D. Bute, 65, of Fremont.
Collins said Shedd was driving south on 168th Street when he failed to stop for a red light. The Mazda collided with the van, which was eastbound on Blondo Street.
Both vehicles careened into a 2004 Acura TL that was stopped for the light in the northbound lane. Shedd's vehicle then struck a wooden light pole.
Bute was taken to Creighton University Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver of the Acura, Michael K. Bruening, 39, of Omaha was not injured, Collins said.
