The weather is bringing everyone a treat tonight: mildish temperatures, no rain and little wind.
Omaha metro temperatures during the prime trick-or-treating period, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., should be around 50 degrees, according to Cathy Zapotocny at the National Weather Service.
Winds aren't likely to be too much of a problem, blowing out of the west, northwest at around 10 mph.
The weekend, also should bring classic fall weather, with Saturday a perfect day for Husker football and outdoors chores or fun.
The highs Saturday in Lincoln and Omaha are forecast in the mid 50s. Winds won't be too bad at 10 to 15 mph.
Sunday is expected to be warmer, but windier, Zapotocny said.
Winds are forecast to begin picking up at about 10 a.m. and by 1 p.m., be noticeably gusty.
