Fans of the Cold War Kids have gotten a double dose of the band this year.
The group’s jangly rock-pop album “Dear Miss Lonelyhearts” was released in April and was followed last month by an EP, “Tuxedos” — a much slower, more plodding and sadder side of the band.
Local fans are also getting a second chance at seeing the Cold War Kids (they opened for The Lumineers in Lincoln earlier this year) when they play Slowdown at 9 p.m. on Monday.
Catch the Cold War Kids with opener In the Valley Below. Tickets, $20, are available at Etix.com, the venue and Homer’s Music.
