A two-vehicle traffic accident Tuesday morning near 120th Street and West Maple Road bottled up commuter traffic in the area and left one person seriously injured.
The accident occurred about 7:10 a.m. just south of West Maple at 120th and Emmet Streets.
Northbound and southbound traffic on 120th Street was blocked while authorities tended to the accident scene.
One man, possibly in his 20s, was taken to Nebraska Medical Center in serious condition.
Elsewhere, a pedestrian was struck and seriously injured Tuesday about 7:55 a.m. in South Omaha.
The injured person was taken in serious condition to the Nebraska Medical Center after the accident at 24 and J Streets.
