The Sarpy/Cass Department of Health & Wellness, Hillcrest Health Services and Partnerships in Aging are sponsoring a free hospice workshop from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at Hillcrest Health Services, 1902 Harlan Drive in Bellevue.
Individuals wanting to learn more about end-of-life care options and the hospice experience are invited. They will explore the hospice experience from the perspective of the caregiver and family, while discussing the fear of death.
Experts in end-of-life care also will discuss the hospice philosophy, levels of care and insurance coverage options for hospice services.

Photo contest winners to be honored Thursday
The 11th annual Bluffs Arts Council Amateur Photo Contest winners will be honored at 6 p.m. Thursday at a reception at the Center, 714 S. Main St. in Council Bluffs.
The event is free to the public, but reservations are needed at 712-328-4992. The Bluffs Arts Foundation provides more than $500 in cash prizes and ribbons for the winners. They are:
