The Nebraska soccer team moved up four spots to No. 8 this week in the latest NCAA RPI rankings.
The Huskers are 14-3-1 and 9-1-0 atop the Big Ten standings with one match remaining.
The RPI rankings are one of the criteria used by the selection committee to seed the 64-team NCAA Tournament field scheduled to start on Nov. 15. The Huskers' last appearance in the NCAA Tournament came in 2005.
Jaycie Johnson was named Big Ten freshman of the week for the third time on Monday.
The freshman forward earned the award after notching a pair of scores, including the game winner in the 103rd minute to defeat No. 16 Penn State on Sunday.
Johnson leads the Huskers in goals with nine and has amassed four game-winning tallies.
Nebraska will battle Indiana in Lincoln this Friday at 4 p.m.
