Some callers to the Douglas County 911 center were not able to get through late Thursday for about an hour, authorities said.
The problem was resolved, said Mark Conrey, the 911 director.
Calls from residential and business landlines were not reaching dispatchers. Mobile phone callers remained able to reach 911.
Conrey said a wireless carrier was routing all of its long-distance calls through 911, overwhelming the system. The problem developed about 9:50 p.m. and was fixed by 11 p.m., he said.
