If you're looking for spooky scenery, look no further than Glenn Cunningham Lake in Omaha.
The Omaha Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with Haunted Theatrics to host “The Haunted Trail” through Saturday evening.
Tour guides will explain the “strange events” that have taken place over the years by the lake with frightful characters and scenes along the way. Though the event is rated “PG,” staff will be available to guide frightened audience members back to the main area.
Tours will leave every five minutes from campground entrance No. 10 at 8305 Rainwood Road, and last about 20 minutes.
The first tour starts at 5 p.m., and the last will leave at 10:20 p.m.
The event costs $13 for adults and $8 for children between the ages of 6 and 12. Bring canned goods for a reduced rate: Each canned item takes $1 off admission. Each person can bring up to three cans.
The Parks and Rec Department is also offering a trick-or-treat event on “The Haunted Trail” between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children. Bring three cans to reduce the cost to $5 for adults and $3 for kids.
