IOWA CITY (AP) — A man has pleaded guilty to charges connected to a drug-related shooting in Iowa City last year.
Court records show that Peter Thullen, 21, of Cedar Rapids, entered guilty pleas Tuesday in Johnson County District Court to first-degree burglary and willful injury. Charges of attempted murder and going armed with intent were dropped.
Thullen was accused of shooting an Iowa City man in November 2012. Police say Thullen and another man, Andrew Meyer, had gone to the victim’s home to collect a drug debt.
Thullen will be sentenced in January. Meyer, also of Cedar Rapids, is scheduled to go to trial in December. He faces charges of attempted murder, going armed with intent and first-degree burglary. Court records do not list an attorney for him.
