LINCOLN — Junior Pat Kelly and senior Michael Pritchard had RBI singles in a four-run fifth inning Wednesday to lift the Red team to a 5-1 win in the second of three Husker scrimmages this week.
All four of the Red team’s runs in the fifth came with two outs. The White team committed two errors in the inning. Junior infielder Steven Reveles also scored on a passed ball.
It was plenty of support for senior right-hander Christian DeLeon, who gave up one hit in four scoreless innings for the Red team.
Pritchard, an outfielder from Omaha Creighton Prep, had three hits. Freshman outfielder Ryan Boldt had two hits, including a double to help ignite the rally in the fifth. Junior Blake Headley from Millard South led the White team with two hits.
Nebraska will conclude its fall season at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. A radio broadcast of the game will be carried on Huskers.com.
