ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan's Lars Eckenrode scored off teammate Fabio Pereira's corner kick with 13:52 remaining as the Wolverines upset No. 12 Creighton 1-0 on Tuesday.
Eckenrode's poked in his first collegiate goal near the back post, past Creighton keeper Alex Bolowich. Michigan goalkeeper Adam Grinwis needed only three saves to earn his third shutout of the year.
It was the Wolverines' first win over a ranked opponent this year.
Tuesday's loss marks the third time in four matches that Creighton (6-4-2) has lost 1-0. Saint Louis defeated the Jays 1-0 on Oct. 2, and Marquette beat Creighton by the same score Saturday.

Meantime, Creighton's offense was held in check. Timo Pitter, with three shots, was the only Jay with more than one for the match.
