WATERLOO — A retired Waterloo teacher who died last spring has left behind most of her nearly $3 million estate to local community organizations.
Jane Lawson, who died April 14 at age 95, gave most of her estate to nonprofit groups in the Cedar Valley.
Attorney Bob Griffin, who is the executor of Lawson’s estate, has been contacting groups to let them know they were included in her will.
The Waterloo Public Library and First Presbyterian Church have learned that Lawson left them each about $150,000. — AP
