Goodwill Industries will celebrate the opening of its new Gretna store Friday with a ribbon-cutting and flag dedication at 8:15 a.m.
“This location will provide a quality shopping and donating experience, while at the same time allow for opportunities to expand Goodwill's training programs for people who want to work,” said Randy Parks, Goodwill's chief operating officer.
The Gretna facility created 30 new job opportunities, Parks said.
The new 15,500-square-foot building, the nonprofit agency's 16th facility, houses a store, production room, donation drop-off door and training facilities.
The free-standing building was designed by RDG Schutte Wilscam Birge and built by the Kiewit Building Group.
Store hours are Mondays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
