Sophomore Kirstyn Corder’s two game-winning goals last week earned her the Big East offensive player of the Week honor on Monday.
Freshman goalkeeper Danielle Rice earned a spot on the honor roll for her shutout at Seton Hall.
Corder is the first Bluejay to earn the offensive player of the week award.
Corder delivered the game-winning goal in each of Bluejays two road victories this week, 3-2 at Providence and 1-0 at Seton Hall.
The sophomore midfielder picked up Creighton’s final goal to push the Bluejay lead to 3-1 in the 61st minute at Providence. Three days later she scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory at Seton Hall. Corder leads the Bluejays with seven goals.
Rice allowed two goals in the win at Providence, then recorded her fourth shutout in Creighton’s 1-0 win at Seton Hall. Rice’s play was critical against the Pirates, making three of her five saves at Seton Hall in one-on-one situations.
Corder, Rice and the rest of the Bluejays return to action on Saturday as Creighton hosts DePaul at 7 p.m. in Morrison Stadium.
