Kosiski set for hall entry
Omaha racing legend Bob Kosiski will be inducted into the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in Florence, Ky., next August. The 11-time track champion at the defunct Sunset Speedway on the northwest side of Omaha will join his sons Joe and Steve, who have been previously inducted.
Waddell suffers injuries
Harold Waddell, the seven-time National Hillclimbing Champion, was training at the White Sands Motocross facility near Ashland last week when he had a serious accident that resulted in two broken legs, a fractured pelvis and a broken left arm.
A fund has been set up to help Waddell pay his medical expenses. If you would like to send a check, make it payable to the Harold Waddell Donation, 7820 N 154th Ave, Bennington, NE 68007. All donations go directly to Waddell. Get well soon, champ.
Two Iowa area racing tracks have crowned their 2013 champions.
At Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa, champions are: Jason O’Brien in Super Late Models, Jesse Dennis in A Mods, Jon Plowman in B Mods, Greg Miller in Pro Stock and Jeremy Purdy in Hobby Stocks.
Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa, crowned the following champions: Jesse Sobbing in A Mods, Barry Sorensen in Late Models, Allan Hopp in SportMods, Keith Knop in Stock Cars, Dusty Van Horn in Hobby Stocks and Bronson Griffin in Sports Compacts.
