A 19-year-old Omaha woman was critically injured Sunday night when the car she was driving crashed with an SUV at 103rd and Fort Streets.
Dianna Ivey suffered a broken jaw and a cut to the left side of her forehead, Omaha police Sgt. Joe Collins said.
Paramedics considered her in critical condition on the way to the Nebraska Medical Center.
Two teenage passengers in Ivey’s car, Elizabeth Love, 15, and Andrea Love, 18, both of Omaha, and the SUV’s driver, John Gloden, 40, of Omaha, suffered injuries that were considered less severe and were taken to the med center in serious condition, Collins said.
The collision happened about 6:20 p.m.
The sport utility vehicle, a red Chevrolet Trailblazer, had been traveling west on Fort Street when it crashed with Ivey’s blue Ford Taurus, which had been heading south on 103rd and was turning onto eastbound Fort Street, Collins said.
No witnesses to the accident came forward at the crash scene, authorities said. The crash remains under investigation, police said.
