Resurfacing work on Dodge Street in midtown Omaha is moving more quickly than expected.
Mayor Jean Stothert said Thursday that the contractor expects to have all of the lanes involved in the project reopened by Oct. 14. That's about four weeks ahead of the city's original estimate of eight weeks.
The project, which began Sept. 16, stretches from 52nd Street to Turner Boulevard. While work continues, traffic is being limited to one lane in each direction.
