Peak Performance is at it again.
Though their “Run Happy Hour” summer series wrapped up in August, the running store is organizing group runs every Monday this fall, too.
In the summer, a group of runners met at the Omaha running store near 78th and Cass Streets to jog on the Keystone Trail every Monday. Free beer followed. The weekly event consistently attracted more than 100 runners.
This time around, the group runs are moving locations each week to include runners from different neighborhoods and offer new routes.
“People get tired of running the same courses all the time,” said Mike Ewoldt, owner of Peak Performance.
Ewoldt said each week the store will also provide soda and a food item. This Monday, the group will run from the Armbrust store near 168th and Center Streets, next to Godfather's.
The run starts at 6:30 p.m., and people can choose either the 3- or 5-mile distance.
Peak Performance will supply free pizza and soda. Beer will be available for $2.
The store will announce the location of the group run each week on the the Peak Performance Facebook page.
