If it's not already raining in your metro area neighborhood, it soon will be.
Becky Kern, meteorologist for the National Weather Service, said showers are moving through and should be largely gone by this evening.
Most people wont' be able to finish their lunch hour without getting wet, she said. Some scattered rain could remain through the evening commute, she said.
A storm or two isn't out of the question this afternoon, she said.
The rain will be followed by cooler, drier air on Friday, so that will be a great day to get outdoors.
Another chance for rain returns Sunday night into Monday, Kern said.
