Paint-and-sip art studio Uncorked opened in west Omaha this summer.
The studio opened in June at about 120th Street and West Center Road in Bel Air Plaza, next door to Posh Peacock. The studio offers classes, hosted by five different local artists, who lead participants in painting different designs.
No art experience is required, and those who attend can enjoy a glass of wine or a margarita while completing a painting, which usually takes two or two and a half hours. The space can be rented out by groups -- think baby showers or corporate events -- or individuals can sign up on the studio’s website calendar, co-owner Michelle Vanhooser said.
Vanhooser owns the stuidio with her sister-in-law, Marleen White, who is an artist and hosts some of the studio’s classes.
Vanhooser said the studio also hosts birthday parties and classes for children.
