Freshmen Emily Roll and Danielle Rice earned Big East defensive and goalkeeper of the week honors, while senior Lauren Cingoranelli nabbed a spot on the Big East honor roll on Monday.
Creighton defeated UMKC (1-0), South Dakota (4-0) and Montana (2-1) last week.
The Bluejays allowed only one goal in the 3-0 week and Roll anchored a defense that surrendered an average of 9.3 shots and 3.0 corners per contest. She had an assist against South Dakota.
Rice made 13 saves and during CU’s six-game winning streak has a 0.53 goals against average.
Cingoranelli had two goals and an assist in the 4-0 win against South Dakota. It was the first time a Creighton player had five points in a game since Brittney Neumann scored eight points (three goals and two assist) against South Dakota on Aug. 28, 2009.
Creighton plays UNO on Friday at 7 p.m. at Morrison Stadium.
