The Omaha native will read from his latest story collection, “She Loves Me Not,” at 7:30 p.m. in the Harper Center Lied Auditorium. The program is free and open to the public.
Hansen is a 1970 Creighton graduate who earned his MFA from the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a master’s in spirituality from Santa Clara University, where he is the Gerard Manley Hopkins Professor S.J. in the Arts and Humanities.
His book “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” was made into a 2007 film starring Brad Pitt. Hansen’s other works include “Exiles,” “Atticus,” “A Stay Against Confusion: Essays on Faith and Fiction” and “Desperadoes.”
