YORK, Neb. — A Seward man accused of sexually assaulting a child has pleaded not guilty.
Korby G. Bertrand, 24, is accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old in York numerous times between December 2012 and May 2013.
Bertrand has been charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of third-degree sexual assault of a child. If he were to be convicted on all counts, he could face up to 110 years in prison.
On Monday, Judge Patrick Mullen set a trial date for Nov. 13 and rejected a request to reduce Bertrand's bail. He must pay 10 percent of $100,000 to be freed from the York County Jail.
