LINCOLN — The Nebraska women’s golf team had four top-10 finishers as the Huskers captured the Chip-N Club Invitational title Tuesday.
NU’s Cassie Deeg captured the individual title by four strokes over teammates Steffi Neisen, finishing with a three-round score of 213. Also in the top 10 for the Huskers were Katelyn Wright (tied for fifth, 220) and Jordan Chael (ninth, 224).
Nebraska’s team score of 874 was 18 strokes clear of runner-up Central Arkansas. UNO, whose top finisher was Katie Kesti in 27th, placed ninth. Creighton, which was led by Rachel Thompson, finished in last place.
