Omaha fans will get a chance to say farewell to George Strait next year.
The country singer announced a final string of dates for his “Cowboy Rides Away” tour, which will be his last. Strait will play CenturyLink Center Omaha on Jan. 17. Ticket information is not yet available.
The 61-year-old singer of “Amarillo by Morning,” “Fool Hearted Memory” and “Write This Down” will bring a series of star openers on the road with him, including Merle Haggard, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean and Ronnie Dunn.
Strait's Omaha stop is the third of the tour, which continues through May and will end with a huge stadium show at Dallas' AT&T Stadium.
Strait fans shouldn't fret. He's not going away forever. Earlier this year, Universal Music Group extended his recording contract to an additional five albums. Strait has also said he will continue to play select live concerts.
