INDEPENDENCE — A 23-year-old Independence man pleaded guilty to two counts, including kidnapping, in the sexual assault of a woman he stalked at a bar.
Matthew Noack pleaded guilty last week to third-degree kidnapping and assault with intent to commit sexual abuse causing bodily injury.
He faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on Nov. 12. He will also have to register as a sex offender.
Police said in January that Noack followed his victim out of a bar in Independence after closing time, then forcibly picked her up, carried her behind a building and sexually assaulted her.
