Attention, coders: Get ready to hack.
Omaha-based startup accelerator Straight Shot is partnering with First National Bank of Omaha to host a 48-hour hackathon called Code One Omaha. The goal is for hackers to design and develop “a unique and innovative crowdsourcing web-based application.” More details will be revealed at the start of the event.
At the end, teams will present to judges and compete for cash. The first-place team will receive $10,000 to share. Second place will receive $2,000 and third place will receive $1,000.
Participating teams must have three members, and a pre-hackathon kickoff event on Friday, Sept. 27 will allow individuals to form into teams.
Redbull, snacks and catered meals will be provided during the event, which lasts from Friday, Sept. 27 through Sunday, Sept. 29 at First National Tower Wintergarden, 1620 Dodge Street. Registration is limited and will close at 8 p.m. on Sept. 22. For information and registration, visit codeoneomaha.com.
