Bellevue West senior center Kate Liveringhouse has orally committed to play women's basketball at South Dakota.
The 6-foot-1 Liveringhouse began her high school career at Omaha Marian before transferring to Bellevue West. She averaged 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds last season to lead the Thunderbirds to a 27-2 mark and a second-place finish at the Class A state tournament.
Liveringhouse is the fifth Division I women's college basketball recruit in the state from the class of 2014. The others are Lindsay Holy Family's Kaylee Jensen (Oklahoma State), Shelby-Rising City's Chatrice White (Illinois) and Minden twins Brooke Kissinger (Illinois) and Jamie Kissinger (San Diego).
South Dakota, which competes in the Summit League, finished 19-16 last season.
